What is a Fibroblast plasma treatment and how does it work??
Fibroblast is the world's most advanced, non-invasive, skin tightening, skin lifting device based treatment used to treat wrinkles, sagging and dull skin.
This treatment uses a plasma arc that is sent from the probe to cauterize the skin without bleeding. This creates a controlled superficial trauma to the epidermis (surface layer) which signals the fibroblast cells production thus accelerating the collagen production and elasticity ultimately fighting against our body clock. Fibroblast cells manufacture and maintain our collagen production ultimately renewing and tightening the skin, minimizing lines and wrinkles to give a more youthful appearance.
How long does the treatment take and is it painful?
Approximately 1 to 2 hours depending on the area to be treated, longer if additional areas are done and also allow time for for the topical anaesthetic to work and consent forms to be completed. Sessions last around 30 minutes per area treated, with instant results.
Prior to the treatment topical anaesthetic will be applied to the area to be treated by you at home. This greatly reduces any discomfort or pain felt during the treatment. For those that have low pain thresholds a prescription can be obtained from your GP for a higher strength topical anaesthetic.
How many treatments do I need and how long will the results last?
During your initial consultation we will be able to give you a better indication of how many treatments you may need. Many people only require one or two treatments, however, some may need more treatments based on their initial skin laxity and biological response to the treatment.
Typically the results will last 2-5 years, but is subject to the number of treatments you may require, your lifestyle and ageing process. You will age as you would otherwise and your skin will continue to relax as part of the ageing process.
The effects should last as long as they would with invasive surgery. The results can last you years depending on the area treated.
The positive effects of treatment will be noticeable immediately after the first treatment, but the best results will be seen after 4 - 12 weeks. A second treatment may be required for best results and may vary due to skin's laxity.

What effects are expected after treatment?
Immediately after the procedure, the area will feel hot like sunburn. The treated area will be quite red and mildly swollen. This can last from 1-3 days. The small dots will dry to become small crusts. These crusts must not under any circumstances be picked or scratched off, they must be left to fall off on their own which can take anywhere from 5-10 days. These dots can be covered with a mineral foundation or concealer. Plasma aftercare products must be used to help the healing process and SPF 50 must be worn at all times for 3 months. Absolutely no sun on the area without protection for 3 months.
Is this treatment safe?

Possible side effects are inflammation, minor swelling, scarring or minor change in skin pigmentation, which is very rare.
